The Desktop Manager doesn't change much from OS/2 1.1, but it does now use separate windows, and it also introduces icons for each option.

The file manager is now named File Manager, but otherwise hasn't changed much.

OS/2 1.2 now introduces "Extended" file attributes with things like comments, file history, and keywords.

The control panel is pretty much the same, except now it uses an OK button instead of Enter.
